Residents of Green Park and Cashew Walk near Sandy Bay in Clarendon staged a peaceful protest at the intersection of the Green Park and Sandy Bay Main Roads in the parish this morning.
The residents converged at the side of the road with placards stating their disgust with the condition of the Green Park Main Road which runs through the two communities.
The residents say they have been made several promises for the roads to be repaired which have not been fulfilled.
A contingent of police from the May Pen Police Station was on the scene.
The residents dispersed about 8:30 a.m. after being addressed by Mayor of May Pen Milton Brown.
The Mayor reportedly indicated that work will commence on the road in January.
