Police seize large quantity of cash over past 3 years

The police have seized large amounts of cash in various currencies under the proceeds of crime act since January 2007 up to now.
Cash totaling just over JA $92 m and close to US $7 m were seized by various police groupings.
These include the Fraud Squad, OCID Trans-National Crime and Narcotics Division and the Customs Department.
Other monetary seizures for the same period include CN $165, 000, and
The proceeds of crime legislation, which was enacted on January 23, 2007, allows the police, through the courts, to freeze, seize and forfeit the assets of persons involved in criminal enterprises.
