The Police High Command is advising that the threat level against its members and police installations remains high.

The High Command says police intelligence is indicating that criminal elements from gangs which operated in Western Kingston are regrouping in order to resume their criminal activities.

This regrouping the police say is being done primarily in Denham Town and comes against the background of continued and effective police operations being carried out in Western Kingston especially in the Coronation Market area.

Several threats have since been made on the lives of police personnel.

The Police High Command is urging all members to take seriously this threat assessment and raise their level of awareness and anticipation on and off duty.
