The Police Federation has denounced as abominable and barbaric the actions of the police officers caught on video beating and shooting a man in Buckfield,
Chairman of the Federation Sergeant Raymond Wilson says speedy actions must be taken to deal with the officers who’s actions have undermined and crippled the institution of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
Sergeant Wilson furthers states that such actions are uncivilised and unwarranted.
He warns that the members of the force who engage in such acts against humanity will not be sheltered by the Police Federation.
Sergeant Wilson says the Federation is saddened by the occurrence.
The Federation has called on its members to be the consummate professionals as crime and criminality are committed against the state and all members of the public must have their day in court.
Sergeant Wilson says the federation has moved to educate its members on how to treat the rights of citizens and the prevention and violation of human dignity.
The Federation says it appreciates the role of the citizens who brought the matter to light and ask for continued support to the JCF in rooting out rogue cops and criminal elements from the society.
