A plan is being worked out, which could facilitate further employment for employees at the soon to be disbanded Police Public Complaints Authority.
The workers will be laid-off at the Authority, which was established to probe allegations against police officers.
However, they are likely to find employment at the newly formed Independent Commission of Investigations, which will assume the roles of the Complaints Authority.
Permanent Secretary in the Justice Ministry, Robert Rainford, says a meeting was held with staff members yesterday (August 3).
He says they will have an opportunity to work with the new body, the Independent Commission of Investigations.
Mr. Rainford says the Commissioner of the Independent Commission of Investigations is now working out a transitional plan.
He says there is no set time-line for the plan to be put in place but Mr. Rainford says all is being done to fast-track the process.
He says the workers are satisfied with the plans being made.
