Minister with responsibility for information, Daryl Vaz is asking the media to be fair in its criticisms of the government.
Mr. Vaz was commenting on criticism of the Government made in the media recently.
He was speaking at a Post Cabinet Press Briefing today.
Without going into details, Mr. Vaz said there have been some headlines in a section of the media, which he says any objective observer would regard as sensational and misleading.
Mr. Vaz says the Government is asking the media to be fair.
The minister responsible for information stated that he respects the media adding that he is open to discussing any concerns that the media may have.
In the meantime, Minister Vaz announced that Prime Minister Bruce Golding is to meet with the private sector leaders tomorrow.
The meeting is being held to discuss issues including the Manatt, Phelps and Phillips affair, over which the Government has been harshly criticized.
