Business persons have until next Wednesday, September 15, to pay their third quarter estimated income tax for this year.
Under the Income Tax Act, tax payers are required to calculate their estimated income and applicable tax for each year, and pay the amount to the inland revenue department.
Payments are made in four quarterly installments.
Companies and self employed persons may use the tax administration’s on-line option or make payments at any of the 29 tax offices island-wide.
Persons paying with cheques may use the electronic drop boxes, located in the main tax offices.
The public is being reminded that this does not apply to persons whose only source of income, is from employment, and whose taxes are paid under the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system.
