Jamaica’s national under 20 footballers rushed to a 4-1 win over the Dominican Republic at the CFU final of the FIFA under 20 World Cup qualifying competition in St. Vincent.
Alonzo Adlam hit the target three times including one from the penalty spot, while Romario Campbell got one. The Dominican Republic’s lone effort came from the penalty spot.
Jamaica played a part of the second half with ten players after striker Devor Orgill was red carded after receiving a second bookable offence.
Meanwhile host St. Vincent and the Grenadines completed their second straight victory at the tournament when they squeezed past Haiti 1-nil in the second game to move to maximum six points.
The young Reggae Boys must now beat the Vincentians on Tuesday to top the zone and advance to the CONCACAF final in Trinidad.
Haiti on one point will face the pointless Dominican Republic in a game of academic interest only.
