Omalyn Davis named 2010 All League Team

Jamaican international Omalyn  Davis has achieved another milestone in her  career.

The Reggae Girl who plays for the Washington Freedom Futures in the American Women’s League has been named to the 2010 All League team.

This is in addition to her selection among a group of 45 collegiate players who have been named to the 2010 Missouri Athletic club Hermann Trophy watch list recently released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America the Hermann trophy is the highest individual honour in Intercollegiate soccer.

The  former  Excelsior  High  School  striker  is  one  of  two  players    from  her  club  to  make  the  eleven - the  only club with two picks.

Davis who is a current senior at George Mason University played for the national senior team in 2007 as well as the national under 20 team in 2006.

In the meantime the Jamaica Football Federation through its president Captain Horace Burrell has submitted a request to FIFA through the development office in Trinidad for the staging of a women’s development seminar in November in Jamaica.

This seminar is aimed at focusing attention on women's football and galvanizing the nation's support for its development.

The JFF will be extending an invitation to Davis to be a special guest at this seminar.
