Young footballers from DIgicel Kickstart Clinic leave for England

The  eight young footballers from the Caribbean and Central America from the  2010  Digicel  Kickstart  Program left  Trinidad  for  Sunderland’s  Academy  of  Light.

The  youngsters  from Trinidad, Panama, El  Salvador  and  Honduras  who were selected by England and Liverpool legend John Barnes, will spend one week training with some of the best coaches in the Barclay’s Premier League.

FIFA  vice president  and  CONCACAF  boss  Austin  Jack  Warner   wished  them  the  best  of  luck  on  their  departure  from  the  Piarco  International  Airport.

The clinics which kicked off on July 20 in Trinidad, before moving on to Panama, El Salvador and Honduras – saw 150 talented young footballers receive expert coaching in the beautiful game.
