Bounty Killer leads all Dancehall legends in the pursuit to be named the Guinness Greatest Dancehall Icon.

The top 30 of the Guinness 50 icons were revealed last night with Bounty Killer first, followed by Lady Saw, Beenie Man, Lt Stitchie and Sanchez.

Fans should keep on voting for their favourite icon by sending a text message of the icon’s name to 444-2451 or vote on the Guinness Caribbean Facebook page.

The more you vote for your favourite dancehall icon, the better chance they have of advancing further in the competition and being named the Guinness Dancehall Icon.

Some of the entertainers remaining in the top 30 are Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton, Yellow Man, Dancehall Queen Carlene, Shaggy, Mavado, Shabba Ranks and Ninja Man.

Votes are only being accepted for the top 30 that advanced this week.

About IRIE FM

The station officially went on air on August 1, 1990. Reggae in the morning, Reggae in the evening, Reggae in the night was the cry. Critics said it was impossible to sustain a 24-hour Reggae music station. In fact, so strong was the impact, it proved that this format was something the Jamaican public yearned for. The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
