Just as we expected, the highly anticipated show for the New Year “Buju and Friends: Before the Dawn” concert was an over whelming success

The concert delivered an extraordinary line up of performers and turn out as fans across the globe that flocked the Bayfront Amphitheater last night in Miami

The venue which has a seating capacity of 10,000 patrons was filled with fans and well wishers of the Gargamel who waited anxiously for him to grace the stage.

Our very own Elise Kelly was the MC for the night as Buju came out   singing “Destiny”

Fans received a spectacular musical performance by JR Gong, Shaggy, Freddy McGregor, Wanye Wonder, Taurus Riley and many more before the headliner himself Buju took the stage

The concert ended at approximately midnight with  the Gargarmel delivering fan favorites like, “Bogle”, “Destiny”, “I wanna be loved”, “Driver”, “Untold Story”, “Til I Lay to rest” tracks from his new album “Before the Dawn”.

“The Buju and Friends” concert was dubbed by many patrons, who attended as the show of a lifetime.

This is Buju’s first live performance before his controversial case in the United States.

The station officially went on air on August 1, 1990. Reggae in the morning, Reggae in the evening, Reggae in the night was the cry. Critics said it was impossible to sustain a 24-hour Reggae music station. In fact, so strong was the impact, it proved that this format was something the Jamaican public yearned for. The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
