Buju Banton who was listed as in transit for the longest while by the Bureau of Prisons, has been transferred and will officially serve his time at a prison in Texas.

The transfer comes after the Bureau of Prisons revealed that there weren’t enough beds in the Florida prison that the Gargamel was expected to serve his time.

Initially, Buju was expected to be transferred to a correctional facility in Mississippi. However, the change was made after it was revealed that one of Buju's co-defendants was already serving time in Mississippi.

Buju, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison in February, is currently at the Limestone County Correctional Institution in Groesbeck, Texas according to the Bureau of Prisons.

Buju was sentenced for drug related charges stemming from a December 2009 incident in which he allegedly conspired to organize a drug deal in a police controlled warehouse.

Buju Banton will be freed in 2019.
