Buju Banton and his lawyers have made another request to the US government for the Gargamel’s case to be tried separately from the other two men charged in the drug saga.

But the court has orally denied the request.

Meanwhile prominent attorney at law David Rowe is warning that Buju Banton take a plea deal as the current situation may not work in the dancehall deejay’s favour.

Buju’s trial is currently set on the September trial calendar. While a status conference hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at 3:30 p.m.

Buju Banton has been in lockup since December 10 last year.
