 Mavado’s childhood friend that was shot in the abdomen at the Quad at Bounty Killa’s birthday party in the wee hours Monday has died.

The man identified as Conroy Edwards AKA Connie died at the Kingston Public Hospital Thursday afternoon.

Music News understands that Connie was allegedly shot by an off-duty policeman. The bullet entered the left side of his abdomen where it lodged. Connie succumbed to his injuries on the evening of June 16.

Mavado’s Manager Julian Jones-Griffith says the matter is currently under investigation by BSI and INDECOM and that they hope justice is served.Meanwhile, Mavado and Connie's family are asking for time to grieve in private.

Following the shooting incident, Mavado was charged for assault occasioning bodily harm and is expected to appear in court on June 23 where the matter is set for mention.
