VYBZ KARTEL'S LEGAL TEAM NOT SURPRISED

Vybz Kartel’s legal team says they are not entirely surprised they didn’t get a chance to make an application for bail for the deejay.

It was revealed in court this morning (02/12/11) that certain documents relating to the case were not ready to be served on the defense. However, Music News understands that the dancehall deejay and his legal team were not disappointed as the move was expected. Christian Tavares Finson explains.

Kartel is facing two murder charges as well as conspiracy to murder, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of ganja.

Yesterday (01/12/11) the deejay was offered $3 million bail in relation to the murder of Barrington 'Bossie' Burton who was shot dead in Gregory Park, St Catherine earlier this year.

Vybz Kartel, fellow Gaza member 'Shawn Storm, fashion designer Calvin ‘Moonie’ Haye and another man are charged jointly with the murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.

The men will return to court later this month.
