Jamaica no longer no.1 Caribbean team on FIFA rankings

Jamaica has been dethroned as the Caribbean's number one ranked football team.

This according to the latest release of the FIFA Coca Cola World Rankings which sees Jamaica being replaced by Haiti as the Caribbean’s highest placed side.

Jamaica has slipped 3 places to 63 while Haiti has moved up nine places to 62.

Trinidad and Tobago who stepped up two places to 80 in the only other Caribbean side in the top 100.

The drop means Jamaica is now joint sixth in the CONCACAF with Honduras. Both are sitting behind Mexico 19, the United States 36, Panama 48 Costa Rica 57 and Haiti 62.

Meanwhile, five times world champions Brazil have dropped out of the top 10 for the first time in over two decades and are now ranked at number 11.

World and European champions Spain continues to hold the number one spot but this time ahead of Germany who moved up a place to number two.

Uruguay, England and Poland round out the top 5 places. Beaten Euro 2012 finalist italy, Argentina, Netherlands, Croatia and Denmark are the other members of the top 10.

Côte d'Ivoire is the highest ranked African team at 16.
