Jamaica return to action against Uruguay at Pan Am Hockey Games
Jamaica's men's team will return to action on Friday against Uruguay in the second round of the pool stage at the Pan American Hockey Championship in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The Jamaicans are second in Pool G with 4 points after playing to a 4-all draw with Venezuela on Tuesday before hammering Guatemala 6-1 on Wednesday.
The Uruguayans meanwhile lead the group with maximum six points from two games.
The winner of the Jamaica/Uruguay match will go on to face the pool f winner in the 7th and 8th place decider.
Thursday's games saw Argentina thrashing the United States 8-1, Chile carving out a 2-1 win over Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados easing to a 4-2 win over Brazil.
Jamaican official Richard Shaw served as a judge in the T&T versus Chile and Brazil/Barbados games.
Jamaica's women's team in the meantime had a 2-1 win over Brazil, a result that sees them going on to face Paraguay for 9th place.
