Natoya Goule, Shana-Gay & Nikita Tracey among recruits to join Louisiana State University
Jamaican athletes Natoya Goule, Shana-Gay Tracey and Nikita Tracey are among 14 recruits announced to have signed their national letters of intent to join Louisiana State University Lady Tigers for the 2013 season.
Goule and Tracey previously attended South Plains Junior College in Texas, while Nikita Tracey is set to leave Oklahoma Baptist University after two years.
Former Manchester High athlete Goule, who is also a 17 times CARIFTA Games gold medallist, is one of the most decorated athletes in National Junior College Athletic Association history, as she holds four Junior College National records in the indoor 400 meters, 600 yards, 600 meters, and 800 meters, all set during her freshman season at South Plains College in 2011.
Shana-Gay Tracey who is also a former Manchester High athlete is the reigning NJCAA outdoor champion in the 400 meter hurdles following her championship victory as a freshman a season ago.
Nikita Tracey is the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics champion in the 400 meter hurdles after clocking a seasonal best of 58.11 in the final at the 2011 NAIA Outdoor Championships.
Formerly of Edwin Allen High School, Nikita has won 10 international medals for Jamaica in her career.
