Rain halts Jamaica's quest to secure victory in regional WICB U19 Tournament
Rain across Barbados as a result of tropical storm Ernesto has forced all three second round games in the WICB Under 19 tournament to end in draws.
This as play on the final day was had to be called off due to the inclement weather.
Title holders Jamaica who won first innings points from Guyana were awarded 9 points with three going to the Guyanese. The Jamaicans following the result are now second to last on the table with 9.5 points while Guyana are third on 16.
Final scores in the match Guyana 164 and 73 for 3, Jamaica 167 all out.
At Pine Basin, the Windward Islands were awarded 8 points, while Trinidad and Tobago took 4.
Scores in that match the Windwards 183 and 100 for 8, T&T 122.
Over at Bayfield, final scores in that match, Barbados 285 for 5 declared, the Leeward Islands 163 and 59 for 3.
The Bajans who were awarded 10 points lead the table on 18.5 points, just ahead of T&T who have 18.
The Jamaicans in the meantime will now turn their attention to the third round clash against tournament hosts Barbados at Weymouth A.
The other games in the round will see Guyana versus Trinidad and Tobago at Pine Basin, and the Windwards against the Leewards at the Desmond Haynes Oval.
