Windies A team take 1-0 lead in ODI series
The West Indies A team cricketers have taken a 1-0 lead in the three match One Day International series against their Indian counterparts.
The Windies A moved one-nil ahead after posting a 2-wickets win over the Indians in game one of the series which was played at the Grenada National Stadium.
The Indians after winning the toss and batting first were dismissed for 190 in 49.5 overs with Ajinkya Rahane top scoring with 58.
Skipper and Man of The Match Veersammy Permaul led the West Indian bowling with 4 for 28.
There were 2 wickets each for Jonathan Carter and Jason Holder, while Nikita Miller supported with 1 for 25.
The Windies A team in reply made 191 for 8 in 49.3 overs.
Jonathan Carter 36, Kirk Edwards 30, Kieran Powell 25, and Assad Fudadin 24 were the leading scorers.
The second game in the series will be played on Friday with the third and final to be played on Sunday.
