2 Portmore schools to benefit from privately funded school feeding and resource improvement programme

Scores of students and staff at the Naggo Head and Gregory Park Primary Schools in Portmore, St. Catherine, are to benefit from a privately funded school feeding and resource improvement programme.

The programme dubbed “Share Through Action”, is being undertaken by charity organisation Wisdom Philanthropy.

Under the initiative, kitchen equipment, such as stoves, freezers, furniture, utensils and cooking gas, will be provided in a bid to help improve the meal preparation process.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Principal of Naggo Head Primary Andria Givans said over one thousand students and 73 staff members will benefit.

Meantime, Principal of Gregory Park Primary Richard Williams noted that the programme will ensure that more students, especially the vulnerable ones can get proper meals.
