A 42-year-old female from Manchester is the latest person to die from COVID-19, pushing the country’s death tally to 323.
Another two deaths are under investigation.
Meantime, 77 new COVID-19 cases were recorded yesterday, pushing Jamaica’s total case count to 13,992.
Of the new cases, 31 are males and 46 are females, with ages ranging from 19 days to 92 years.
Kingston and St. Andrew led the count with 44 cases, followed by St. Elizabeth and St. Thomas with 7 cases each, St. Catherine had 6 cases, St. Mary recorded 4, Manchester and Clarendon had 3 each, St. Ann had 2 cases and Trelawny recorded 1 case.
The Health Ministry further notes that 38 people recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, pushing total recoveries to 11,630.
There are 1,876 active COVID-19 cases.
107 patients are hospitalized. 18 are moderately ill, while 8 are critically ill.
