A 50 year old St Catherine man is facing rape and other charges in relation to incidents involving his 8 year old step daughter.

Detectives attached to the Centre for the Investigations of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) also laid charges of indecent assault and sexual touching of a child, following an incident in Portmore, St. Catherine.

Police reports are that between 2020 and this year, the accused man who is the stepfather of the 8-year-old had sexual intercourse with her on several occasions.

The matter was reported to the police and the man was arrested and charged.

His court date is being finalized.
