594 new Covid-19 cases recorded with 3 deaths and 753 hospitalizations

Jamaica recorded 594 new Covid-19 cases yesterday.

The island’s case count now stands at 76,451.

The positive individuals range in age from 1 day to 96 years.

Kingston & St. Andrew led the case count with 103 cases, followed by St. Catherine with 101 and St. Thomas with 66 cases.

All parishes recorded new cases. The positivity rate is 36.2 %.

In the meantime, three more people have died from the virus. The deaths occurred between September 10 and 11.

The deceased are a 28 year old female from St. Mary, a 73 year old female from Kingston and St. Andrew and a 59 year old male from Kingston and St. Andrew.

Total deaths now stand at 1734.

753 people are hospitalized with Covid-19.

155 patients are moderately ill, 117 are severely ill and 52 are critically ill.
