69-year-old man dies from COVID-19, pushing country’s death tally to 307

A 69-year-old man from St. Elizabeth is the latest person to have died from COVID-19, pushing the country’s death tally to 307.

 

Meantime, the country recorded 43 new COVID-19 cases yesterday (January 7), bringing that total to 13, 411.

 

Of the new cases, 20 are males and 23 are females, with ages ranging from 9 to 90 years.

 

Manchester recorded the highest number of cases with 11, Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Catherine and St. Ann recorded 6 each, St. Mary 5, Clarendon 3, Trelawny 2, and Hanover, St. Elizabeth and St. James 1 each.

 

92 persons are hospitalized, with 9 patients moderately ill and 6 patients critically ill.

 

Meantime, 70 more persons have recovered from COVID-19.
