A 9 year old girl from St. Elizabeth is among two reported Covid-19 related deaths yesterday (May 7).
The other is a 68 year old female from Westmoreland.
Their deaths push the Covid death toll to 803.
The Health Ministry says there was one coincidental death.
Meantime, 160 new cases were recorded yesterday, pushing the case count to 46,588.
Of the new cases 92 are females and 68 are males.
They range in age from 2 years to 87 years.
All parishes recorded new cases.
St. Catherine had the highest with 43, followed by Kingston and St. Andrew with 37.
The positivity rate was 19 per cent.
130 persons have recovered, pushing that tally to 22,148.
23,294 cases are active.
208 persons are in hospital, among them are 19 who are critically ill and 8 who are moderately ill.
