A 16-year-old female from the Corporate Area is among ten persons who died from the Coronavirus yesterday (April 13).
Six other persons from Kingston and St. Andrew, 3 females ages 71, 77 and 98 and three males ages 65, 68 and 70 also died.
St. Catherine also recorded two deaths, that of a 66 year old woman and an 81 year old man.
The other deceased is a 73-year-old female from Manchester.
The country’s death toll now stands at 692.
1 death is under investigation.
Meantime, 130 new cases were recorded yesterday, pushing the country’s case count to 43,054.
Of the new cases, 70 are females and 60 are males.
They range in age from 1 year to 94 years.
Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 53, followed by St. Catherine with 17, St. James had 16, Westmoreland 10, St. Ann 9, Trelawny and Clarendon had 8 cases each, Portland 5, St. Mary 3 and Manchester 1.
112 persons have recovered, pushing that tally to 19,248.
22,809 cases are active.
383 are in hospital, among them are 39 who are critically ill and 30 who are moderately ill.
