Alleged serial rapist arrested

by February 6th, 2021

A man alleged to be the prime suspect serial rapist, who was targeting women in St. Ann recently, has been arrested.

Head of the St. Ann police division Superintendent Dwight Powell said the suspect was held in neighbouring St. Mary on Wednesday, and transferred to St. Ann.

Superintendent Powell said the man was placed before an identification parade yesterday, where he was pointed out.

He said the suspect is to do more ID parades in the coming days, in relation to more rape cases.

Superintendent Powell is however urging women to remain vigilant, as police have reason to believe that more alleged rapists are in the area.

He assured that the police are continuing efforts to nab to others.
