The police have released the identity of the Irwin High School student who was fatally stabbed by one of his schoolmates in St. James, yesterday. 

Dead is 15-year-old Raniel Plummer.

The Jamaica Teachers Association, JTA has condemned the murder of 15 year old Irwin High student Raniel Plummer.

Raniel was fatally stabbed by another student, outside the gates of the school in Granville, St. James, yesterday.

The National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) says it is customary for fumes to emanate from minor areas of the Riverton Landfill in St. Andrew. 

NSWMA's Executive Director, Audley Gordon made the clarification amid reports that smoke was still coming from the dump, after last Tuesday's fire.
