by December 29th, 2015

Barrington Levy is happy with his first Grammy nomination for his album AcousticCaLevy.

The veteran reggae singer tells Music News that the accomplishment is a great look as the album was produced independently on his Black Roses Enterprise.

AcousticCaLevy, released earlier this year is Barrington Levy’s first album in 23 years. The 15-track album is made up of acoustic, re-recorded versions of past hits and two new songs.

Other entertainers vying for Grammy for the best reggae album are Jah Cure for the Cure, Luciano with Zion Awake, Branches of the Same Tree by Rocky Dawuni and Strictly Roots by Morgan Heritage.

The 58th annual Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles at Staples Center on Sunday, February 15, 2016.
