Dancehall heavyweights, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer are confirmed for the popular online Verzuz music battle.
Less than a week after Hip hop producer Swizz Beatz, during a live IG chat with Protoje hinted that a Jamaican version of the popular music battle is being considered; dancehall greats, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer are expected to go tune for tune, and hits for hits during the Memorial Day Verzuz Weekend Special, dubbed the Soundclash Edition from Jamaica.
Following the announcement on Instagram, social media users are already oozing with excitement in anticipation of the dancehall giants.
The Verzuz music battles have become a staple on Instagram Live after Swizz Beatz and Timbaland started the tune for tune quarantine battle on March 25.
Since then, the Verzuz battles have hit record views online with Babyface vs Teddy Riley, along with the first female battle between Jill Scott vs Erykah Badu that garnered more than one billion impressions across all social media platforms, and Nelly vs Ludacris last week was a mega-hit.
On Saturday, May 23, Bounty Killer and Beenie Man who in recent times had put their rivalry and friendship on display, will this time do it globally for the culture.
