Members of the entertainment industry are reacting to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday.
There were many headlines from the interview, but one of the biggest was Harry’s claims that a member/members of the Royal Family said his son Archie could not be a Prince because his skin tone would probably be too dark.
Dancehall deejay Spice was quick to comment on Twitter stating, “Imagine these words coming from Meghan who’s a lighter shade than I am, and you can only imagine what I went through,” ending with the hashtag of her 2018 song, Black Hypocrisy.
Meanwhile, Tennis star Serena Williams praised Meghan Markle for her interview with Oprah saying that she showed strength and bravery by calling out “malicious, unfounded gossip and tabloid journalism.”
Though Harry and Meghan did not name the alleged perpetrator(s), Prince Harry did rule out two names saying neither Queen Elizabeth nor Prince Philip uttered such words.
Prince Harry also accused his dad of being heartless and revealed that when they moved to Canada, his dad, Prince Charles stopped taking his calls.
As for Meghan, she spoke about being affected y racism and how she contemplated suicide.
