Its all systems go as the Inter Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) has gotten confirmation from the Jamaican government that they will be able to stage the Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships on the new proposed dates set for next month.
Earlier this week ISSA announced that they had to scrap the previous proposed date of April 27 to May 1 owing to the fact that they had not received any confirmation of approval from the government.
This after Prime Minister Andrew Holness had announced new curfew hours in the government bid to bring down the rising Coronavirus cases.
However speaking with Irie Fm sports ISSA’S president Keith Wellington confirmed that they have finally gotten the go ahead from the government to stage Champs from May 11 to May 15,
Wellington added that they have already hit the ground running with their respective stakeholders.
