Founder of Children’s lobby group, Hear the Children’s Cry, Betty Ann Blaine says this morning’s killing of four children and their mother in Chapelton, Clarendon is terrifying.

Speaking with Irie Fm News, Mrs. Blaine said while the cause of the killing is not yet known, the level of violence against children in the country is very concerning.

She called on family and community members to be vigilant.

In the meantime, Children’s Advocate Diahann Gordon Harrison who described the incident as senseless, pleaded with residents to aid the police in providing information that can assist with investigations.

She also called on all citizens to join the fight against violence in the country.
