Citizens urged to use their talents to better the nation ahead of Labour Day

The government is urging the nation to use their talents and creativity to the fullest and for the betterment of the nation on tomorrow’s observance of Labour Day.

This follows the recent call by the Jamaica Evangelical Alliance to boycott this year’s Labour Day activities in response to the massive increase to the political directorate.

However, the Labour Ministry is calling on the nation to join hands in the Labour Day activities planned.

Speaking at the 2023 National Workers’ Week and Labour Day Thanksgiving Church Service yesterday, Permanent Secretary in the Labour Ministry Colette Roberts Risden urged residents to use whatever talents they have to the best of their ability and for the betterment of the nation.

Mrs. Roberts-Risden who was speaking on behalf of portfolio minister Karl Samuda urged Jamaicans to participate in the range of activities planned for Labour Day and workers week.
