Concerns of business operators and residents to be considered in Port Royal redevelopment plans

Government has sought to assure that all concerns expressed by residents and business operators in Port Poyal, will be considered, in the plans for redevelopment.

The assurance came from Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Pearnel Charles Jnr, at a public meeting hosted by the Urban Development Corporation, UDC, yesterday, (November 27).

At the meeting, residents were given an opportunity to voice concerns to a panel of government officials.

Mr. Charles Jnr said residents of Port Royal will not be left behind.

Yesterday’s meeting also facilitated the presentation of a concept plan, launch of the Port Royal 2020 web site and the signing of a commitment board by the heads of agencies.
