Double murder rocks Clarendon community; residents call for resumption of hanging

Raymond’s district, in Hayes, Clarendon, has been plunged into mourning, after the murder of two men, last evening (Feb 23).


The men have been identified, as 30-year-old Kurt Taylor, otherwise called “Cakey” a taxi operator of Savannah-Hayes; and 28-year-old Odane Brown, an engineer of Raymond’s district, both in Clarendon.


Reports are that, about 6:50 pm, residents discovered the bodies of Taylor and Brown, in a Toyota pro-box motor car, at the intersection of Portland Cottage, and Rocky district, and summoned the police.


Upon their arrival, the men were seen with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and head.


They were pronounced dead at hospital.


Speaking with Irie FM News, one Raymond’s district resident notes, that the two men were promising youngsters.



The resident is also appealing to the government, to implement harsher penalties for persons who commit horrible crimes.
