With some students choosing to defer sitting this year’s regional exit examinations, Education Minister Fayval Williams has sought to assure that schools will be able to manage large numbers of students, in the next academic year.

Mrs. Williams indicated that 5,987 students had opted to defer the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate, CSEC exam and that 292 students deferred the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination, CAPE.

Speaking during yesterday’s (June 9) Post Cabinet media briefing, the Education Minister said those numbers can be handled by the schools.
