Minister of Education and Youth, Ruel Reid, is calling on Jamaicans to stand together, and help bring the spate of senseless killings in the country, to an end.
Referring to the killing of 14-year-old Ocho Rios High School student, Raven Wilson in St Ann’s Bay, Mr. Reid said, government is deeply concerned about these brutal killings of children.
The Education Minster, along with the Regional Director, and a medical doctor, visited relatives of Wilson at her home, in Top Road St Ann’s Bay, last evening.
Mr. Reid also participated in a prayer session, with Raven’s parents.
He said, the country needs to go back to the days, when the village raised and protected children.
