by January 10th, 2019

The National Works Agency, NWA, has stated, that efforts to fix the flooding problems in May Pen, Clarendon, will be advanced, this year.

Yesterday, sections of May Pen, including Guinep Tree, and the road leading to Chapleton, were inundated, following heavy rains.

This is the second major flood event in the town, since last October.

NWA Communications Manager, Stephen Shaw, says the mitigation work with the drainage system, is inadequate.

As such, government plans to re-construct the thoroughfare.
