Eleven Percent Of Jamaicans Bleaching Their Skin

Approximately 11% of Jamaicans have reported that they have used bleaching products to lighten their skin tone.


This is according to the latest Jamaica Health and Lifestyle survey conducted by the Health Ministry in 2017.


The survey revealed that bleaching was more common among men, with 12 point 5 per cent of those interviewed admitting to have used bleaching products.


In addition, it was revealed that bleaching was more prevalent among persons between the ages of 15 and 34 years.
