Final 3 rounds of WI regional four-day championship to be played in Trinidad and Guyana

The remaining final three rounds of the cricket West Indies regional four-day championship will be played in Trinidad and Guyana.

The announcement coming from the regional governing body…..Cricket West Indies yesterday. 

Thus far two rounds have been played and the tournament will resume on March 15 and run until March 18 with the Trinidad & Tobago Red Force hosting current leaders Guyana Harpy Eagles at the Brian Lara Academy. 

The other two matches in the third round will see the leeward islands hurricanes facing Barbados pride at queen’s park oval in Trinidad and the Jamaica Scorpions facing the windward Islands Volcanoes at the Guyana National Stadium. 

The 4th round will be played from March 22 to 25 with the 5th and final round from March 29 to April 1. 

Heading into the third round, Guyana Harpy Eagles lead the standings with 28.6 points with defending champions Barbados pride second on 23 and the t-and-t red force third on 20.6 points .

The Winward Islands volcanoes are 4th on 19.4, followed by the Leeward Islands Hurricanes on 17.4 points and the Jamaica Scorpions on 10.
