Authorities have placed focus on the town of Cave Valley in St. Ann, which has been flooded.
A team from the Municipal Corporation led by Mayor Sydney Stewart travelled to the town in south west St. Ann this morning, to get a first hand view of the situation and offer technical assistance.
Mayor Stewart says the corporation has been receiving reports since last night about the situation there.
According to Mayor Stewart, indications are that there is a blockage at the border of St. Ann and Clarendon which has caused the flooding in Cave Valley.
He says there are also reports of landslides and fallen trees elsewhere in the parish.
