Former MP Easton Douglas To Be Accorded An Official Funeral

The government has announced that former Minister Easton Douglas will be accorded an official funeral.


Information Minister Ruel Reid announced at yesterday’s (September 12) Post Cabinet News Briefing that the matter was considered and approved by cabinet.


Mr. Douglas, a former Minister of Housing and Health in the 1990s, died on August 26 after a period of illness. He was 81.


Mr. Reid explained that the cabinet considered the work of the former Member of Parliament in coming to its decision.
