Fosrich and Dolla Financial partnership to provide access to funding for solar energy products

Two companies on the Junior Stock Exchange have formed a partnership that will see Jamaicans being able to access funding for solar energy products.

Fosrich Company Limited, a local distributor of electrical lighting LEDs and solar products, has partnered with Dolla Financial Services Limited, a micro-finance entity based in Jamaica and Guyana.

The partnership venture was announced on Thursday, at the third and final day of the Jamaica Stock Exchange‘s regional investments and capital markets conference.

A statement from the JSE said the 2 entities have partnered to provide customers with affordable financing solutions, for solar power systems and solar water heaters to the Jamaican market.

This partnership will allow customers to access up to 90 percent financing for their solar energy needs.

Speaking at the conference, chief executive officer of Fosrich, Cecil Foster said the company has $2 billion worth of interest.

And, Chief Executive Officer of Dolla Financial Kadeen Mairs said with reduced risks, Jamaicans are able to afford solar equipment.
