Executive Director of the , FSC, Everton McFarlane has tendered his resignation.

Finance Minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke made the revelation this afternoon (January 19).
The resignation follows a press conference held by the FSC yesterday (January 18), about the alleged multi-million dollar fraud at Stocks and Securities Limited, SSL.
The FSC is mandated to regulate financial institutions including the SSL.
It has taken control of SSL following the alleged fraud which saw investors including renowned Jamaican athlete, Usain Bolt being impacted.
Mr. Mcfarlane had come under scrutiny for his failure to answer several questions posed by journalists during yesterday’s press conference about the matter.
The Finance Minister said Mr. McFarlane’s resignation is effective January 31, and he will go on leave as of tomorrow (January 20).
