Governor General Sir Patrick Allen says despite the setbacks caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Jamaica must recommit to the 2030 Vision.

He made the call, while presenting the Throne Speech at this morning’s (February 18), opening of Parliament.

The Throne Speech which outlines the priority programmes and policies to be pursued by government, during the new fiscal year has the theme “Building Forward, Stronger Together”.

The Governor General noted that this must be a collective effort.

The House of Representatives will meet in the afternoon at which time the 2021/2022 Estimates of Expenditure will be tabled.
