Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton has raised concern about the increase in HIV cases in the island.
Speaking in Parliament yesterday (December 1), Dr. Tufton noted that 700 cases were diagnosed last year.
Meantime, Dr. Tufton noted that despite the challenges brought by the Covid 19 pandemic, persons with HIV continue to get support and treatment.
The minister added that even though the pandemic has affected logistics, Jamaica was able to maintain the supply of Antiretroviral medication.
Dr. Tufton assured persons with HIV that the standard of support and service will continue.
