Dead is Kadmar Beadle.

Reports are that an off-duty police officer, was involved in an altercation with a man at a bar, in the community.

Its alleged that Beadle used a knife to inflict a wound, to the abdomen of the policeman.

Beadle was subsequently shot by the cop.

Both men were taken to hospital, where Beadle was pronounced dead.

Assistant Commissioner of INDECOM, Hamish Campbell told Irie Fm News, that the probe is still in the early stages.

Meantime, irate residents used debris to block sections of hart street in the parish, this morning, in protest over Beadle’s death.

The residents are being urged to discontinue their protest, and to visit INDECOM’s western office, to share any information that may be pertinent to the investigation.
